School Climate

Your Kenwood team is working hard together to make positive changes and increase student achievement.  We are implementing new assessment programs that are tied directly to intervention strategies to support our students.  Staff are participating in many training's to ensure that we are able to make a positive impact on your child's learning.

Kenwood is also working on building TRIBES learning communities in the classroom.  The agreements that we follow at Kenwood are:

  1. Mutual Respect
  2. Attentive Listening
  3. Right to Participate - right to pass
  4. Appreciations

We share appreciations for students each week and we say our Tribes pledge daily:

"I am smart, trustworthy, truthful and responsible.  Every day I will follow the agreements and do my best.  So I am getting better, and BETTER, and I BELIEVE IT!"
